We are doing it again!
On Saturday 24th January 2026, the Small Steps Team and friends we will be walking 21k from The Oval Cricket Ground, east along the Thames, through London and back. Last year a group of 33 Small Steps Families, Staff, Trustees and Supporters did the London Winter Walk collectively raising nearly £20,000 so we hope to raise even more this year!
Our team members so far are: Anita, Jason, Rayanne, Ruth, Jem, Joanna, Peter, Denise, Richard, Pippa, Emma, Adrian, Brian, Indila, Geneva, Popi, Nina and Dorota.
Small Steps helps children with special needs, aged from birth to 5 years, work on all areas of their development, using the principles of conductive education.
Children who attend our sessions have cerebral palsy, other forms of motor impairment, syndromes or sensory impairment. They need a great deal of extra stimulation and assistance to help them reach even the most basic milestones. At Small Steps, teachers, conductors and physiotherapists lead both parent and child through a structured programme designed to help each child achieve individualised developmental steps.
We are proud that Small Steps sessions are free to all. We receive no statutory funding and are solely dependent on charitable grants, fundraising and donations, so no matter what the amount, every little bit will make a big difference!
So please dig deep! Thank you 🧡
